MODUL Career - Your Guarantee for a successful Career

Since April 2010 the center of expertise "MODUL Career (MC)" has been exclusively available for students and alumni of MODUL University Vienna and the Secondary School for Hospitality and Tourism MODUL. The aims of this "career portal" are clear: As well as offering services for the students of both educational institutions, the young academics will be offered support in career planning and career development.

The way to a top job and "lifelong learning" - MC uses its contacts to place candidates from Secondary School for Hospitality and Tourism MODUL and MODUL University Vienna in jobs with both Austrian and international companies. With their well grounded education the students and alumni are counted among the favourites for the honoured positions. One of their advantages is the teaching plan, which is oriented towards current economical topics as well as the requirements of the companies, and therefore means that the schools can put forward the best academic minds. Furthermore, the alumni and the employers have the possibility to attend specific courses or seminars held by MODUL Career. In the framework of the "lifelong learning" program the participants can keep up to date in a quickly developing economy and can also improve their knowledge.

MODUL Alumni - Around 210 alumni graduates from the two institutions leave every year to start national and international careers in the areas of Tourism, Public Governance and New Media Technology. MODUL-Alumni bridges the gap between over six hundred graduates of the MODUL Tourism School, who currently occupy leading positions all over the world, and the first graduates of MODUL University Vienna. The network offers vocational and commercial contacts and the possibility to exchange knowledge.

The first official MODUL Alumni meeting took place on the 23rd of April 2010 at the MODUL University Vienna premises on Vienna's Kahlenberg hill. The Alumni came together to revive the MODUL spirit and to befittingly celebrate the cooperation between the two institutions and the new MODUL Career Center. A yearly Alumni event and regular career days have been planned for the future.

MODUL Career has the following goals:

  • Supporting current students through the internship period (assisting students to find an internship, preparing the applications, and guiding them for the duration of the internship).
  • Advising graduates on their career opportunities.
  • Networking for the MODUL University Vienna and the MODUL Tourism School alumni.
  • Assisting employers who are looking for qualified employees as well as employer branding.
